starring The Generic TV Bears!

One of the last of the flash card minipaintings, for ^rocksicle as thanks for helping me get a prints account set up.

The words he gave me were 'boots, anti-capitalism, and television'. They're not words I'd usually work with, but as I like to remind people constant and naggingly, TRYING NEW THINGS IS GOOD!! Draw stuff you don't like, it makes you a more interesting artist. And I don't mean just trying a new species of fucking furry, I mean randomly-picking-words-out-of-the-dictionary different.

Do it now! Grr!

That pic is great, I love the texture in the background, and the colour of the bears on top, great work! Very cool.

I think I'm gonna have to try doing that... pulling words out and just drawing based on those words. good idea. :)

aslk;djfaslkdjfklsdafklj okay, so here's some of my usual disjointed psychotic ramblings that will make no sense at first but will all come together in the end (... or not :slow:), let's see how it goes, haha

AHHHHHH THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS PICTURE OH MY FUCKING GOD THANK YOU. You see, The Generic TV Bears immediately reminded me of two of my favorite TV personality bear groups: The Buddy Bears from "Garfield & Friends" [link] , and [more important to the point] the Squishy Bearz from "Eek! the cat" [link] . I wanted to find a reference of them, since I hadn't seen the show in so long (as well as to link them in my comment, although I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you might be familiar with the show :D) so I did some google searching, which in turn led me to THIS page: [link] which has TWO volumes of Eek! DVDs, but besides that a TON of other cartoons that are NOT available on DVD (so uh, I'm sure that he just has SUPER exclusive and/or magic powers and that's how they're on DVD and they're not any sort of format that involves a boot or leg ^^; :slow: hahah and HEY MAN, i'm sure even if they are, it's STRICLY for educational purposes only!!!! :floating: </my usual preemptive paranoid ramble to big-brother watching> ).... anyhoo, i was ESPECIALLY STOKED and on the verge of crying tears of joy when I saw they had MUPPET BABIES :happycry: laksjdfl;kasjd;flkasdj 32 episodes on 5 discs  (I'm not sure if that's the entire series, but it beats the hell out of the fucking BETA tapes I have my original episodes recoded on :lmao:) so yes, I got that, and the Wuzzles  I'm praying that this dude is for real and the stuff is good quality, not so much because I don't wanna get ripped off, but because I REALLY would love to have these shows on DVD :fingerscrossed: :D if it works out well, I'm going back to get such other gems as the "Pebbles and Bambam show" (hahaha it was so bad, yet I loved it), and of course Eek! among others :aww: SO YES, hahah that brings my story to a close ^^; so thank you x 3948503485 for indirectly leading me to this wonderful site :glomp:

alright, enough of my stupid side rambles. haha to comment on your deviation itself!! I think these bears match well with Walmart... i mean, they're WHITE! HA HA HAAaaaaa :slow:... yes. anyhoo. I agree with what you said about choosing random words from the dictionary! that's a great art exercise (for both visual art, as well as writing!); I was actually thinking about doing something along those lines for some contests I wanna do in the future which will involve me giving away weird random crap (and I should really emphasize the "CRAP" part :lmao:), just to give the entire contest a completely randomized theme :boogie:

okay, shutting up now :D

lmao...your comments always make me smile! :D i totallly know what you mean, someone'll say some totally random thing, and it'll send me off in this weird unrelated trek that ends in my finding something that I've been searching unsuccessfully for for like, AGES. Life is weird like that.

So anyway, I hope your dvds turn out to be good ones! :D YAY FOR 80's TOONS!!! I am 100% in support of any wierd contests you may be thinking of launching.

Those *TOTALLY EDUCATIONAL LEG-WITH-A-BOOT* 80s cartoon DVDs were pretty okay. haha The quality wasn't the best, but i wasn't expecting much. However, what DID leave me unsatisfied, was that the Muppet Babies DVD I got (rather, one of the discs from the set), had this Ewoks cartoon taking up like 2-4 hours worth of the disc!! But of course, by the time I noticed, it was too late to return :( that, and shortly after, the dude got shut down, it seems. (his site is no longer around :lmao: i can't imagine why! :slow:)
